The 1915 Dominion Day parade was the first Dominion Day since the outbreak of WWI. The parade featured decorated vehicles and 23 horse drawn floats which included local businesses, industries, organizations and charities.
Brothers George and Jabez Newman started Newman Bros. in 1878 and incorporated their business in 1918. They originally built brick paving-stone streets and houses in St. Catharines, eventually expanding to engineering and construction projects throughout the Niagara Region.
