Veteran Carpenter Honored

ALFRED E. WILLIAMS

A former St. Catharines resident, Alfred E. Williams, 91, is the oldest living member of the United Broth-erhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.

At the 42nd annual conference of the Ontario provincial chapter of the brotherhood in Windsor yester-day, Mr. Williams was presented with an easy chair and pen and pen-cil set.

Mr. Williams joined the St. Cath-erines local in 1883. He has lived in Windsor for the past seven years.

He received the chair from Thom-as Kerr, president of local 38, St. Catharines and the pen and pencil set from W.T. Crosbie, Merritton, provincial chairman.
