The "Dalhousie City" was operated by the Niagara, St. Catharines & Toronto Railway.
The steamship “Dalhousie City” was built to transport visitors to Lakeside Park from Toronto and Hamilton. It was launched in 1911 due to the increased demand of passenger traffic on Lake Ontario. It replaced the smaller “Lakeside” and undertook all service in 1916 when “Garden City” was withdrawn. In 1949 The "Northumberland" burned reducing the N S & T Steamers to one. The last run between Toronto and Niagara was in 1950 after which the “Dalhousie City” was sold to a firm in Montreal.
