Johnston, Ted Nelson, behind Mayor Johnston, president of the Henley aquatic Association, Tom Keller, president of the International Rowing Federation, Bob Welch, Lincoln member of the provincial legislature, Ted Norris, Toronto Regatta Chairman, and Rus Wood, president of the Canadian Association of Amateur Oarsman.
In 1903 Port Dalhousie was selected as the permanent site for the annual Canadian Association of Amateur Oarsmen regatta.
