An image of the post office and grocery store, 12 Lock Street, Port Dalhousie.

The post office was a two storey, wood framed building. It had a second floor balcony with a wooden balustrade supported by four columns.The balcony extended over the sidewalk.

The post office, known as the Stanton Building, was constructed in 1896 by the village postmaster, John Stanton. It operated as a combination post office and grocery.

Port Dalhousie was amalgamated with St. Catharines in 1961.
