The post office was a two storey, wood framed building. It had a second floor balcony with a wooden balustrade supported by four columns.The balcony extended over the sidewalk. - Notes

The post office, known as the Stanton Building, was constructed in 1896 by the village postmaster, John Stanton. It operated as a combination post office and grocery.
