It is a two-storey building with an offset entrance. It has a shaped lintel and columns at the front entrance and lintels and concrete sills around the windows. - Notes

Built in 1852 by J.F. Mittleberger, the St. Catharines branch of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union purchased the house and re-opened it as Alexandra Hall in June 1911. It was intended to provide a safe home and moral atmosphere for single young women and operated as a rooming house for women until 1977.
