He was the owner/operator of Fonthill Motor Sales Mazda and lay minister for many area churches including The Korean Presbyterian Church in St. Catharines. In 1990 he received his Master of Divinity from McMaster University. He began his ministry at Sherbrooke Baptist Church followed by First Baptist Church, Thorold, then moving to North Bay Baptist Church in 2002 where he retired in 2010
