The McSloy family home was located on Church street at the site of the current police Station.
They also donated land on Church Street for the construction of the old Carnegie Library where the current courthouse stands.
She graduated from Loretto Abbey in 1947 and was President of her class.
She graduated from Nursing from St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto.
