Notes
File Number: 12/pt1/44-1.1

Many of the visitors were interested in the old German Howitzer that the squadron salvaged from its trophy perch on Ridley College campus. Although fairly well preserved, the wooden spokes of the big wheels on the Howitzer had to be torn out and new wooden ones will be turned in the modern shops of the engineers. Here, some of the visitors watch the machine shop as one of the wheels is dismantled.
