The first Grape and Wine Festival was held at the end of September, 1952 as a way to bring greater awareness to Niagara’s growing grape and wine industry. The early festivals were smaller events with a parade and dance but the Grape and Wine Festival has since grown into a multi-day celebration including a parade, music, and food and wine tastings.
