The Folk Arts Festival is held each year during the last two weeks of May and celebrates St. Catharines’ diverse cultural heritage through food, music, dances, a parade, and other activities.
The banner carried by the lead firemen commemorates the upcoming 125th anniversary of Thorold’s incorporation as well as Thorold’s selection as the host city for the Ontario Firefighters Convention. Both events took place in 1975.
