The Turbinia was built at the Tyneside Shipyards in Hepburn, England for the Turbine Steamship Co. of Hamilton. It provided passenger service on the Hamilton – Toronto route. The Turbinia was launched March 30th, 1904 and remained in use until regular steamship service between Hamilton and Toronto ended in 1927.
