The ship was operated by the Niagara, St. Catharines & Toronto Railway. The “Northumberland” was brought into service in 1920 to transport visitors to Lakeside Park from Toronto and Hamilton when passenger traffic became too great for “Dalhousie City” to handle alone. In 1949, while docked in Port Dalhousie, the “Northumberland” was destroyed by fire. - Date of Original
