The Lion's Hotel was previously known as the Endinburg Hotel and the Wellington Hotel. The building dates to at least 1877.

The Austin House was a 3 storey brick structure built in the late 1890's by John and Patrick Harrigan. It was renamed the Lakeside Hotel around 1977.

Port Dalhousie was amalgamated with St. Catharines in 1961.
