The Austin House was a 3 storey brick building constructed by John and Patrick Harrigan in the late 1890's. It was renamed the Lakeside Hotel around 1977.
The Stanton Building was a 2 storey, wood frame structure to the immediate right of the Austin House hotel. It was built by the village postmaster, John Stanton, in 1896 and operated as a combination post office and grocery store.
Port Dalhousie was amalgamated with St. Catharines in 1961. - Inscriptions
