Sir Isaac Brock was born Oct. 6, 1769 in Peter Port, Guernsey, in the English Channel. He died October 13, 1812 at Queenston, Upper Canada from wounds received in the Battle of Queenston Heights.

His military achievements in the War of 1812 earned him a knighthood, membership in the Order of Bath, and the moniker “Hero of Upper Canada.”
