This school was established in 1804 and was the first non-denominational free school in Upper Canada. This building was used until 1844 when a larger schoolhouse was built. The schoolhouse was restored by the Niagara South Board of Education (now the DSBN) in 1973 and is currently on private property. - Date of Original
