Western Fur & Ladies Wear Co. moved to 31 James Street around 1936. It moved to 283 St. Paul Street in 1946 and remained there unto the early 1960s.
J.H. Sandham's was founded in 1912 and was one of the first light and electrical product stores. It opened on St. Paul Street and moved to 27-33 James Street around 1945.
