- Canada Block Co. first appears in the St. Catharines City Directories in 1935 at 19 Phelps Street. The address changes in 1937 to 20 Division Street. The address changes again in 1961 to 17 Riordan Street and the year after to 21 Riordan Street. The company remained at that address until it disappeared from the directories after 1995.
While the address changes in the 1960s from Division Street to Riordan Street, the company itself does not appear to have moved. The company was at the corner of Division and Riordan Streets and appears to have just changed the street address for the site. - Subject(s)
