She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Toronto, July 2, 1935, She was trained in dietary services and as a supervisor in the health care institutions of the congregation. She participated in the Credo Sabbatical Program in Spokane, Washington in the mid-eighties, later moved to St. Joseph's Morrow Park, where she became Sacristan in the Infirmary Chapel, helping sisters to medical appointments
