- The Meridian Centre is a 5,300 seat arena in downtown St. Catharines. It is situated on top of the old Welland Canal (now filled in) behind St. Paul Street. The arena is the home of the Ontario Hockey League's Niagara IceDogs and the Niagara River Lions of the National Basketball League of Canada.In addition to sports events the Meridian Centre also hosts concerts and other events.
