The "Red Mill" owned by Oliver Phelps, originally stood in this spot.
Oliver Phelps' grist mill was purchased by James Norris and Sylvestor Neelon
That mill was torn down and Sylvestor Neelon built Neelon's Grist Mill in 1882.
Neelon's mill was sold to Packard Electric in 1895
Demolished in 1965.

Note: Packard Electric inscription is wrong
