McCalla and existed until 1868.; In 1863 he married Miss Mary Drysdale, daughter of Matthew Drysdale, Esq. of Dublin; Prominently identified with the Presbyterian Church; Two sisters survived him: Mrs. Samuel Irvine of California, and Mrs. Samuel thompson of St. Catharines; He also had an adopted daughter, Mrs. J.L. Cameron of Yuma, Colorado
