He was born in Grantham Township and for a number of years lived in Sarnia, Ontario. He moved to Kentucky and later settled in Denver, Colorado.
After the death of his wife he returned to Port Dalhousie to live with his sister, Mrs. S. E. Parnall
He also leaves 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Predeceased by two brothers, Craise, Adam and Robert L. and by one sister, Black, J. K. Mrs.
