Niagara Shoeing Forge, Niagara-on-the-Lake

A photograph of blacksmiths and pre-World War 1 Army at Niagara Shoeing Forge, Niagara-on-the-Lake, c1909. The men are from the Governor General's Horse Guards from Toronto and there are a couple of officers as well as troopers in the photo. They are likely newly arrived at Camp Niagara and are having their horses reshod. The photo could have been taken anytime between 1900 and 1914.
